Choose a single lesson for focused practice, or a 5-hour or 10-hour package for lessons over several bookings. Preparing for your NSW driving test? The Driving Test Package includes a one-hour warm-up lesson and a car for the test. Car hire only is available separately, where you meet at the test centre. Select your suburb and instructor to check the price and available times before requesting a booking.

Rates can vary between instructors, suburbs and services. The website shows the available price after you select your suburb and instructor.
What is included in the 5 Hour and 10 Hour packages?
Packages are prepaid lesson bundles, valid for 12 months unless stated otherwise. You can add the package to your lesson basket, then schedule lesson times with the selected instructor where availability is open.
What is included in the Driving Test Package?
The Driving Test Package includes a one-hour warm-up lesson before your test and use of an instructor's dual-control car for the test. Only HIRE for Test provides the car at the test centre without a warm-up lesson. Both options depend on test centre coverage and instructor availability.
How do I arrange a car for my driving test?
Have your test date, time and test centre ready. Choose the Driving Test Package or Only HIRE for Test, then check instructor availability. If you need help matching a car to your test booking, call 0421 954 160. Sending a request does not confirm a vehicle until availability has been checked.
Do I pay online immediately?
Your request is saved first. If an online payment method is available, the checkout option appears in the booking flow; otherwise First Ride confirms availability and sends payment instructions.
Can I reschedule without a fee?
Yes, rescheduling is free when you give at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may attract a fee under our booking terms.
